Scratch render is a relatively new process that originated from the continent around ten years ago. There are over forty colours to choose from, from the brightest white to vibrant green blues and reds. It is a through coloured cementitous based render with a surface similar to weathered stone - this look is achieved by removing the surface with a nail float.

Scratch render is applied in such a manner that the elevation of a house is made to look plaster flat unlike normal sand and cement render.
